Young Knives Interview Thomas 'House of Lords' Dartnall, Oliver Askew

Young Knives are a Leicestershire three-piece whose indie-rock has been delighting audiences for years.

Made-up of Henry Dartnall (vocals, guitar), brother Thomas ‘House of Lords’ Dartnall (vocals, bass guitar) and long time friend and musical collaborator Oliver Askew (drums, backing vocals) they strive to bring their fresh faced brand of angular pop punk to the masses whilst donning tweed suits and tank tops.

The plucky threesome won the ‘Road to V’ competition which secured them a slot at V Festival, were subsequently signed to Transgressive Records and their first album ‘Voices of Animals and Men’ was rightly Mercury nominated.

Having just released their third album ‘Ornaments from the Silver Arcade’ Music-News.com caught up with the House of Lords and Oliver in CAMP bar Shoreditch ahead of their headline performance at XOYO that evening to find out more.
